Orange City Woman Wins $50,000 Lottery Prize

Orange City, Iowa — An Orange City woman is $50,000 richer after claiming a top prize in an Iowa Lottery scratch game.

The lottery reports that Maricela Ramirez De Nuno of Orange City claimed the seventh of 10 top prizes of $50,000 available in the Iowa Lottery’s “Instantly Rich” instant-scratch game.

Ramirez De Nuno claimed her prize this past week at the lottery’s regional office in Storm Lake. She purchased her winning ticket at Casey’s General Store in Orange City.

Instantly Rich is a $5 scratch game. If a player reveals a “thumbs up” symbol, they win the prize shown below that symbol. If a player reveals a “chest” symbol, they win double the prize shown below that symbol. The overall odds of winning a prize in the game are 1 in 3.41.

Three top prizes of $50,000 are still up for grabs in Instantly Rich, as well as 10 prizes of $1,000, 33 prizes of $200 and 28 prizes of $100.

Odds of winning the top prize are one in 119,700.
