Pair Of Winter Weather Systems Headed Our Way This Week

Northwest Iowa — Here in northwest Iowa we dodged a weather bullet this past weekend, receiving little more than a dusting of snow instead of the up to 8-inches that had been predicted for most of the area. However, Mother Nature is ready to send a couple more systems our way this week.

KIWA talked to meteorologist Brad Temeyer at the National Weather Service Office in Sioux Falls Monday, and he says the first system should arrive Monday evening into Tuesday. There is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until midnight Tuesday night.

Temeyer says there’s not much precipitation expected with this first system.

He says the system will hamper travel, however, with its combination of ice and snow.

As always you can stay up to date with the weather by listening to KIWA Radio, or by visiting our website at kiwaradio.com.
