Primghar, Iowa — Installation of new water infrastructure under County Road B40 has caused the City of Primghar to issue a boil advisory for a portion of the city’s water delivery system for Friday, July 22nd.
City Clerk Marlene Anderson reports that Primghar residents near and south of County Road B-40 have been asked to boil their water before drinking or any consumption. Periodic water service interruption may also be possible in that area.
She says B40 is under construction from Highway 59 to the Primghar city limits right now, and while it is torn up, the city has decided to put in new water mains and valve boxes.
She says the work on this section is hoped to be completed yet on Friday, with more work planned in the future.
