Peterson Woman Taken To Hospital After Accident Near Hartley

law lightbar blueHartley, Iowa — A Peterson woman was taken to the hospital after an accident on Saturday, January 4 near Hartley.

The Iowa State Patrol reports that about 9:40 AM, 17-year-old Cordell Tesch of Paullina was eastbound on B24, three miles south of Hartley in a 1997 Ford pickup. Twenty-three-year-old Marra Glackin of Peterson was northbound on M12 in a 1997 Ford Taurus.

The trooper’s report says Tesch slowed down but did not stop for the stop sign. He apparently entered the intersection, where his pickup was struck by the Glackin car.

Glackin was transported to Spencer Hospital by Hartley Ambulance. Tesch was not transported.

Tesch’s Ford pickup received $4500 damage. Glackin’s Ford Taurus received $4000 damage.

Tesch was charged with Failure To Obey Stop Sign and Yield Right of Way. Glackin was charged with Operation Without Registration/Expired tags.
