Pizza Ranch Is “America’s Favorite” Quick Service Pizza Restaurant

Orange City, Iowa — According to a new survey from Market Force Information, a local pizza restaurant chain is America’s favorite pizza chain.

The survey shows “America’s favorite” quick-service restaurant chains in five categories: burgers, sandwiches, Mexican, pizza and chicken. And Orange City-based Pizza Ranch is tops in the pizza category.

The chain, which started in Hull in 1981, has about 200 locations in 13 states, including several in towns around northwest Iowa. The other four pizza restaurants in their top five don’t have locations in the smaller northwest Iowa towns around here. Papa Murphy’s was second. Their closest locations to Sheldon are in Le Mars and Spencer. Marco’s was third. Their closest locations are in Sioux Falls and Brandon, South Dakota. Domino’s was fourth. Their closest locations are in Sioux Falls and Sioux City. Coming in fifth was Papa John’s, with locations nearest us in Worthington, Spencer, and Le Mars.

Every category rated saw either Pizza Ranch or Papa Murphy’s as the leader, except for the value category, which went to Little Caesar’s. Pizza Ranch took the top honors in the categories of atmosphere, curb appeal, friendliest staff, and fastest service. Papa Murphy’s was top in food quality, healthy options, and cleanliness.

The survey also mentioned that Pizza Ranch had the highest awareness of their loyalty card program, called “Ranch Rewards.” It says ninety percent of their customers knew about the program.

Nearly 11,500 consumers were polled for the study, which was conducted in February.
