MidAmerican Energy says the outage affected 690 customers in the Sheldon area.

It started about 3:59 PM, and power was restored by 4:37 PM, according to MidAmerican Media Relations Representative Ashton Newman.

Newman reports that equipment that needed to be repaired caused the outage.

Power was off for a total of 38 minutes.

Newman says crews were able to isolate the issue and restore power to customers quickly. Repairs were made after power had been restored.

The area of the outage was from the 2900 block of McKinley Avenue, north of Sheldon on the north to the 1100 block of 4th Avenue in Sheldon on the south, and from the 100 block of North 7th Avenue on the east to the 4500 block of 300th Street northwest of Sheldon on the west.
