Sibley, Iowa — A Sibley man who was originally detained for Public Intoxication ends up being arrested for felony burglary and drug charges Saturday evening.

25-year-old Jacob Kollasch of Sibley was arrested by an Osceola County Deputy on the charge of Public Intoxication around 6:30 PM Saturday evening. A search warrant was later served on Kollasch’s residence by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa State Patrol. While searching the residence, law enforcement authorities found items from two separate recent burglaries as well as prescription medication that was in someone else’s name.

Kollasch was charged with two counts of 3rd Degree Burglary, a Class “D” felony and Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs, a serious misdemeanor. Kollasch remains behind bars in Osceola County on a $12,000 bond.
