Sheldon, Iowa — A new event is planned during Sheldon Celebration Days this year.
Sponsored by Sanford Sheldon, the event is being called a Glow Walk. Sanford Sheldon officials say there will be a family atmosphere and it’s open to all ages. It will be the Saturday evening of Celebration Days, September 3rd. Sanford Clinic Manager Steve De Voe says that while some people are calling it a glow run or a glow race, walking and jogging are fine and strollers are encouraged. He says there’s no timing: it’s just for fun.
He says registration is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the event starting at 9 p.m. DeVoe tells us about the concept of a “Glow Walk.”
He tells us how to register for the event.
DeVoe says your glow shirt and accessories are included in the price of registration, but additional items will be available for purchase before the event. Start and finish will be at Sheldon city park, with music and various glow stations throughout the route.
