Rent-All Theft Suspect Pleads “Not Guilty”

Orange City, Iowa — A man facing felony theft and other charges after authorities say he and another man took merchandise from a Sioux Center store — has entered a “not guilty” plea.

The Sioux Center Police Department reports that on Saturday, October 8th, two individuals entered the Rent-All Center lot after the business had closed. Sioux Center Police say the pair allegedly took a car trailer and a skid loader, valued at a combined $37-thousand. Authorities say one of the men, 31-year old John Lamfers of Rock Valley was allegedly caught in the act and arrested. About a month later, authorities reported they had apprehended the second suspect, 38-year-old Andrew Wilson of Norfolk, Nebraska.

According to court records, on Tuesday (November 28th), Lamfers entered a written arraignment and plea of “not guilty.” Wilson has not yet entered a plea. His arraignment was continued to a later date.
