Sheldon, Iowa — It’s been just over a month since RiseFest 2018 wrapped up in Sheldon, and already Rise Ministries, the organization behind RiseFest is making an announcement about RiseFest 2019.
For the past several years, RiseFest has been held each Father’s Day weekend, but things are changing for 2019. Rise Ministries Founder and President Rob Roozeboom says RiseFest will no longer be held on Father’s Day weekend.
Roozeboom says a scheduling conflict is responsible for the date change.
He says RiseFest wanted to make sure they could continue working with the production crew they’ve been using for the last dozen or so years.
RiseFest has experienced some inclement weather during some recent years. Roozeboom says that, while keeping the festival in June makes him a little nervous, he’s very happy to continue working with their production crew.
