RMT Breaks Ground On 8th Expansion

RMT GroundbreakingSheldon, Iowa — Ground was broken this (Thursday) morning on a $16-million expansion project for Rosenboom Machine & Tool’s Sheldon plant, which will include a new 46-thousand square foot production line.

Sheldon Development Director Curt Strouth spoke at Thursday’s groundbreaking, and talked about the number of jobs to be created by the expansion project.

Sheldon Mayor Katricia Meendering expressed her thanks to the Rosenboom family, and the entire RMT family, for their commitment to Sheldon.

Sheldon Chamber and Development Corporation President Rick Nordahl talked about the commitments made to Sheldon by the Rosenboom family that go beyond the expansion project.

RMT founder Lary Rosenboom expressed his appreciation for all the partnerships that made the company’s expansion a reality.

Rosenboom Machine & Tool was founded almost 42 years ago as a small tool & dye shop by Lary Rosenboom and his wife, Viv.  Thursday morning’s groundbreaking marks the 8th expansion for the company, which has plants in Sheldon and Spirit Lake, as well as Bowling Green, Ohio.
