Rock Rapids Man Accused Of Felony Sex Abuse Turns Self In; Now Held On $10,000 Bond

Jail Door2Rock Rapids, Iowa — A Rock Rapids man accused of felony sexual abuse has turned himself in at the Lyon County Jail.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that 22-year-old Cole Zimbelman of Rock Rapids surrendered himself to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday (10/26/13). Zimbelman had four outstanding Lyon County Warrants charging him with four Counts of Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree, all Class C Felonies.

The charges stem from an incident which allegedly took place at his home on October 5th, 2013.

On October 10th, 2013, officers carried out a search warrant at Zimbelman’s home for evidence pertaining to the investigation.

Zimbelman is currently being held in the Lyon County Jail on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
