Rock Rapids, Iowa —
A Rock Rapids man was injured in a motorcycle accident near Rock Rapids early on Saturday morning.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 5:40 AM, 31-year-old Brian DeWild of Rock Rapids was driving a 1994 Honda CRB600 motorcycle eastbound on A16, just east of Harding Avenue. That’s about a mile and a half north of Rock Rapids near what’s referred to as the “2 mile bridge”.
De Wild lost control and entered the south ditch. The motorcycle rolled several times. DeWild was taken to Sanford Hospital in Rock Rapids with what the sheriff’s office called “incapacitating injuries”.
