Rock Rapids Man Named To State Student Loan Board

Rock Rapids, Iowa — A Rock Rapids man has been named to a state board that deals with student loans.

Scott Schneidermann of Rock Rapids, Executive Vice President of Frontier Bank, has been appointed by Iowa Governor Terry Branstad to the Iowa Student Loan Board. Iowa Student Loan is governed by a board of directors that has always been appointed by the governor of Iowa. Schneidermann tells us a little about the board and the current student loan situation.

He says he won’t be directly involved in loan decisions, but in setting policy.

Schneidermann says he’ll be going to Des Moines six times a year for board meetings, plus committee meetings.
