Rock Rapids Man Named To State Student Loan Board
Date posted - July 20, 2012
Scott Schneidermann of Rock Rapids, Executive Vice President of Frontier Bank, has been appointed by Iowa Governor Terry Branstad to the Iowa Student Loan Board. Iowa Student Loan is governed by a board of directors that has always been appointed by the governor of Iowa. Schneidermann tells us a little about the board and the current student loan situation.
He says he won’t be directly involved in loan decisions, but in setting policy.
Schneidermann says he’ll be going to Des Moines six times a year for board meetings, plus committee meetings.
For more information on Iowa Student Loan, visit their website at www.studentloan.org. Schneidermann says there’s a great tool on that site for matching borrowing with your intended field, and he encourages students and parents to check it out.
