Rock Rapids Woman Arrested, Alleged To Have Been Driving Drugged With Child In Vehicle

sioux county sheriff emblemSioux Center, Iowa — A Rock Rapids woman faces a pair of charges after authorities say she was found driving drugged with a child in her vehicle.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says that about just into Thursday — at 12:15 AM, they arrested 39-year-old Jennifer Hamlin of Rock Rapids during a traffic stop on Highway 75, two miles south of Sioux Center. The deputy suspected that Hamlin was intoxicated from the use of an illegal drug.

After an investigation by the sheriff’s office Drug Recognition Expert, Hamlin was arrested for operating while intoxicated‐drugged and because a two-year-old child was a passenger in the vehicle, she was also charged with child endangerment.
