Rock Rapids Woman Injured In Rock Rapids Accident

A Rock Rapids woman was injured in an accident on Tuesday, January 31.

The Rock Rapids Police Department has just now released the details of the accident. They report that about 4:30 PM, 88-year-old Paulina Knobloch of Rock Rapids was southbound on Highway 75, just south of South Tenth Avenue, near Lyon Manor Nursing and Rehab Center. She was attempting to turn left into Lyon Manor. A semi tractor/trailer driven by 61-year-old Jerold Mann of Luverne, MN was northbound on 75. Knobloch said that she didn’t see the truck coming so she made the turn. The passenger side of the semi tractor struck the passenger side front fender of the Ford.

Knobloch was transported to Sanford Rock Rapids by the Lyon County Ambulance.

Her Ford received about $8000 damage. The semi, owned by White Tail Trucking of Lester, received about $10,000 in damage.
