Rock Rapids Woman Taken To Hospital After Sunday Accident Near Little Rock

Little Rock AmbulanceLittle Rock, Iowa — A Rock Rapids woman was taken to the hospital after a rollover accident near Little Rock on Sunday morning (8/18/13).

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 11:55 AM, 53-year-old Betsy Stubbe of Rock Rapids was westbound on Highway 9 when she slowed to make a right turn onto Kingbird Avenue, six miles west of Little Rock.  According to the report, Stubbe was going too fast while attempting the turn and lost control of the vehicle.  It entered the northwest ditch and rolled onto its top.

Stubbe was transported to Sanford Rock Rapids.

Her 1997 Ford Explorer received approximately $9000 in damages.

Stubbe was cited for failure to maintain control.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Little Rock Fire and Ambulance and the Iowa State Patrol.
