I know this battle well myself. I have two boys, aged 10 and 15, that both need kidney transplants. Aside from the challenge of testing to see if my wife and I can donate, the biggest challenge has been the cost of it all. Dialysis 3x a week and many other procedures and tests and trips to the hospital are tough. We started ActiveCharity.org to help raise the funds, and we’re partnered with KidSney.org to help raise awareness of the need (and process) for donating a kidney. Allison (the lady in the story) is an angel! I hope she sees the blessings returned a hundred fold.
