Rock Valley Officers Arrest Man On Felony Drug Charge

Rock Valley, Iowa — A joint investigation by the Rock Valley Police Department and the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office has resultedd in the arrest of a Le Mars man on drug charges.

According to Rock Valley Police Chief Monte Warburton, on Thursday (May 10th), Rock Valley officers arrested 20-year old Rudy Garcia, of Le Mars, on a charge of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, LSD, within 1-thousand feet of a public park, in Rock Valley.

According to Chief Warburton, the charge is a Class B Felony. In Iowa, a Class B Felony is punishable, upon conviction, by up to 25-years in prison.

Warburton says Garcia was transported and booked into the Sioux County Jail.

Chief Warburton says the investigation is ongoing, and more charges are expected.

Authorities stress that a Criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
