Rural Hospers Garage, Pickup Destroyed: Three Fire Departments Fight Fire

Hospers, Iowa — A rural Hospers garage and a pickup were destroyed in a fire on Monday.

The Sioux County Communications Center received a report of a structure fire at 3872 Larch Avenue, three miles northwest of Hospers, just after 10:10 PM. The fire involved a two-stall detached garage and a 1994 Chevrolet 3500 pickup. A garage attached to the residence also sustained fire damage.

No injuries were reported.

The detached garage and Chevrolet pickup are considered a total loss.

The Hospers Fire Department and Hospers Ambulance were assisted by the Alton Fire Department, Orange City Fire Department and the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
