SCDC and KIWA Present Christmas Lighting Contest
Date posted - December 4, 2013
To help everyone get into the Christmas spirit, the SCDC and KIWA are having a Christmas lighting contest Thursday evening (12-5-13) in Sheldon.
Chamber Coordinator Allison Klett tells us about it.
KIWA General Manager Walt Pruiksma says the lighting contest runs from 5:30 to 9 PM Thursday evening, and the Christmas music will run on KIWA-FM 105.3 from 6 PM until midnight.
Klett gives us some of the particulars of the contest.
Again, if you live in Sheldon and do NOT want your house’s Christmas lights judged, or if you live a mile or two out of Sheldon and you DO want your lights judged, you are asked to call The SCDC at 324-2813 to let them know.
Klett says there are no specific categories or criteria for judging the lights.
She says there are some nice prizes going to the first, second, and third place light displays.
Again, everyone is invited to take in the Christmas lights Thursday night — and don’t forget to listen to the Christmas music provided on KIWA-FM 105.3 while you take in all the festive light displays.
