SCDC Executive Director Curt Strouth began the meeting by announcing that 2015 SCDC President Rick Nordahl of Sanford Sheldon will be continuing as SCDC President for 2016.  Nordahl spoke briefly, thanking SCDC staff, board members, committee and membership for their work during the past year.  He said that some of the goals for the coming year include acquiring additional development land.  He says there are lots of projects on the table, and a lot of interest in Sheldon by prospective businesses.

The featured speaker for this year’s Annual Meeting was Steve Bergeron, a leadership trainer with Dale Carnegie Training in Omaha, Nebraska.  Bergeron spoke to the group about employee satisfaction and retention.  He said business owners must be willing to adapt to change to attract and keep quality employees.

Wednesday’s SCDC Annual Meeting was held in the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Building.
