School Board To Hold Special Meeting

Sheldon-Schools-logoSheldon, Iowa — The Board of Education of the Sheldon Community School District will meet in special session Wednesday (January 18th) at 5:00 pm for the purpose of updating calculations for the District’s Initial Bargaining Proposal to the Sheldon Education Association, the union representing the District’s teachers.

Last week the Sheldon Education Association presented their Initial Proposal to the District.  That proposal called for an increase of 5.16-percent in salary and benefits.

Wednesday’s meeting is designed to prepare the District’s response to the union proposal.

Wednesday’s special Sheldon School Board meeting will be held at 5:00 pm in the high school library.
