School Board To Meet

Sheldon-Schools-logoSheldon, Iowa — When the Sheldon Community Schools Board of Education holds their regular February meeting Wednesday evening they’ll hear an update from Superintendent Robin Spears on the District’s technology.  The Technology Committee met Monday, and Spears will report on that meeting.  Spears is also scheduled to present the Board with the Preliminary Aid & Levy Worksheet for next budget year during Wednesday’s meeting.

In other action, the Board will deal with three Open Enrollment Applications, handle a pair of resignations, as well as taking up a trio of employment contracts, along with approving a volunteer coaching contract.

The Board will also be asked to approve the District’s At-Risk/Dropout Prevention Programs budget for 2016-17, approve the continuation of the District wrestling sharing agreement with South O’Brien Schools for the 2016-17 school year, and consider contracted educational services for three district students receiving educational services in other school districts.

Wednesday’s meeting of the Sheldon School Board will begin at 6:00 pm Wednesday in the high school library.
