School Choice Week: Trinity Offers Well-Rounded Experience

Northwest Iowa — We’re wrapping up National School Choice Week. This week we’ve been telling you about some of the private schools available in the area. Today, we hear from Trinity Christian High School in Hull.

Jim Regnerus is the principal at Trinity Christian. He tells us why he thinks people should consider Christian education.

We asked him if Trinity is run by any particular church or denomination.

When asked their thoughts on school vouchers, Regnerus said that their position is more hands-off on that issue because they’re concerned that local control might be jeopardized.

But Regnerus says however, that low-income families, or those experiencing hardship might be able to get some help to pay for a Trinity education.

According to Regnerus, they believe that parents are not only sending a brain to school, but a covenant child. So they try to provide as well-rounded of a high school experience as they can.

Organizers of National School Choice Week tell us that their goal is to raise public awareness of the different K-12 education options available to children and families while also spotlighting the benefits of school choice.
