Search On Warrant Turns Up Marijuana Growing Operation In The Presence Of Nine-Year-Old Child

marijuana pot 2Sioux Center, Iowa — Three people were arrested after a search turned up an alleged marijuana growing operation near Sioux Center.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports they carried out a search warrant in the early hours Wednesday morning. The search was at a place on Garfield Avenue, two miles west of Sioux Center.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that the occupants were growing marijuana in the residence.

Twenty-six-year-old Mark Pruismann and 26-year-old Justin DeBondt, both of Sioux Center; and 36-year-old Melissa Berg of Roberts, Wisconsin were arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana, child endangerment, possession of
marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A nine-year-old child present at the time was not injured.
