Seed Treatment Course Scheduled for Feb. 24

Primghar, Iowa — You can learn about applying treatment to seed and keep up your credits as a commercial pesticide applicator at a class coming up in Primghar.

Marsha Rehder at Iowa State University Extension says they’ll host the Seed Treatment Continuing Instruction Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016. The program will be shown at locations across Iowa through the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP). She tells us about some of the topics they’ll cover.

The local attendance site is the O’Brien County Extension Office in Primghar. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the course runs from 9 to 11 a.m. The registration fee is $45. To register or to obtain additional information about the CIC, contact Marsha Rehder at the ISU Extension and Outreach office in O’Brien County by phoning 712-957-5045.

Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be offered. Interested participants should bring their CCA number to the program.
