Slightly over a year ago Sheldon lost a very good friend, husband, father and grandpa.
A golf tournament event has been planned to honor Dean Seivert called the PBR 4 man best ball to be held October 13th at The Sheldon Golf Course. Half the purse will go to additional upgrades to the hole #8 memorial for Dean Seivert. Please contact the Sheldon Golf Course 324-4275 to get a team into this Memorial Tournament.
The family asks that even if you do not golf please join the folks at this event and honor the memory of Dean.
As a memorial to Dean, the family installed a beautiful granite bench at the tee box on hole #8 at the Sheldon Golf Course and a Hawkeye plaque in the slope at the riverside of the green.
Dean Seivert had a passion to help others and always have fun. He was doing what he could to help the Sheldon Golf course by running a mower, and through a tragedy hole #8 took him home. Dean, a business man in Sheldon, loved softball, bowling, golf, and the Iowa Hawkeyes. He was a regular behind the bar at the bowling alley and at Eagles always with a positive power to his voice.
If you asked him how he was doing it wasn’t ever an answer of “good” it was always “GREAT!”.
