Several Antiques Reported Stolen From Rural Ireton Home

Ireton, Iowa — A number of antique items that had been stored in an unoccupied house in Sioux County for several months have been reported stolen.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says they are investigating a report of a burglary that occurred at a Century Farm home, located on 500th Street, five and a half miles southwest of Ireton.

They say that deputies discovered that someone forcibly entered the home and stole several antique items. They tell us that the home was not occupied when the alleged crime occurred and was discovered when property owners checked the home.

Deputies believe the crime likely occurred sometime between October 10th, 2017 and June 5th, 2018. If you have any information about this crime, you are asked to contact the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
