Sheldon 8th Graders Study Immigration, Build Museum

Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon Middle School 8th graders have recently completed an instructional unit on immigration, and have created an “Immigration Museum” to show off what they’ve learned.

Kristin Noack is the teacher whose students studied immigration, and she talks about the immigration unit of study.

Noack says they also talked about how the immigration process has changed over the years.

She says that as the immigration unit was winding down, the kids built an Immigration Museum in the middle school library.

Noack says that some of the things the students came up with for the museum, including their creativity and way of displaying items, really surprised her.
