Sheldon Accident Report

A Sheldon teen was injured in an accident on Sunday (February 26) near Sheldon.
The Iowa State Patrol reports that about 6:00 PM, 18-year-old Daniel Boer was northbound on Nest Avenue, near the Lamkin Creek in a 2006 Pontiac. The conditions were very windy, and slush was on the road. He lost control on the slush, and the vehicle went into the east ditch. It then entered a creek and rolled onto its top.
Boer was taken to Sanford Sheldon by private vehicle.
Boer’s Pontiac received $10,000 damage, enough to total the vehicle.
He was charged with failure to maintain control.
