Sheldon Business Burglarized; Over $4000 Cash, Merchandise Stolen

A Sheldon business was burglarized sometime early last week resulting in the loss of over $4000 in cash and merchandise.

In a report just released by the Sheldon Police Department, officers report that sometime between the evening hours of Sunday, May 13th and early morning hours of Monday, May 14th, Las Hermanitas in downtown Sheldon was burglarized. The report states that $4000 worth of cash along with several cell phones were taken in the burglary. Entrance to the building was gained via a door with no forcible entry detected. No suspects have been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.

In other notes from the Sheldon Police Department:

  • A 2009 Chevy Impala driven by Helen Vlaming of Primghar was backing from a business drive and struck a legally parked 2005 Chevy Silverado Monday evening. The Silverado, owned by LD Hulstein Farms of Ashton sustained $2,500 in damage and the Impala sustained $1000 damage. Vlaming was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
  • 25-year-old Tasha Rose was arrested last week was picked up on a Texas warrant for Burglary and violating probation.
  • Also, several light bulbs were damaged at the Sheldon City Park.
