Sheldon, Iowa — You may have noticed more paved area on the west end of the lot at Dave’s Auto Wash in Sheldon recently. Dave Sheffield owns Dave’s Auto Wash, and he says his business is branching out.
Sheffield says he was in the car business for several years, and decided Sheldon was the place, and now was the time, for him to get back into the business.
Dave shares his vision for the new venture.
He says expanding his business hasn’t been without it’s challenges. In addition to the State of Iowa being a little slow getting his paperwork back, he says he’s had some “issues” locally, as well.
Sheffield says he had hoped his car lot would be open for business by now, but he’s still in the “hurry up and wait” part of dealing with the State on getting his paperwork approved. He says he hopes to be selling vehicles by the middle of September.
