Sheldon City Council Meeting Changed to Tuesday Noon

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council will meet in regular session at noon Tuesday, November 20th.   This will be a special date and time due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Council business will include presentation of a request from Children’s World,  a resolution authorizing the acceptance of bids for the owner-occupied housing rehabilitation program  and a resolution authorizing payment of annually-appropriated TIF expenditures.

In other business the council will act on the termination of a lease  agreement between the City and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.  They will also act on a change order and pay estimate for work being done on the 21st avenue  storm drainage project.  And, as a final agenda item, the council will get an update on the proposed  sports complex being planned jointly between the City of Sheldon and the Sheldon Community School District.
