Sheldon City Council Meeting Preview
Date posted - July 1, 2014
How would you choose the names for the streets in the new Sheldon Crossing residential area? That’s one of the topics up for discussion this Wednesday, July 2nd when the Sheldon City Council holds their meeting at noon. The council will also hold a public hearing at noon on the Airport Runway Lighting Project. In other business, they will consider the second reading of the cemetery ordinance, which increases the rates for the sale of lots as well as the rates charged for burial in the city cemetery.
Their consent agenda includes an SCDC request for summer events, renewal of the dinner date contract and a beer permit for the Sheldon RAGBRAI Committee.
Wednesday noon’s meeting will be held in council chambers in the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Center.
