Sheldon City Council Meets Tuesday at Noon

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council will hold their first regular meeting of the month on Tuesday, July 2nd. The agenda includes a public hearing on the Sheldon Crossing improvements. They will be asked to review the bids which have been received for the project. The sewer system, water main and storm sewer connections to Country Club Road and Highway 18 are expected to be completed no later than October 30th of this year with the rest of the work to be done by July 1, 2014.
The Council is also expected to act on an application for tax increment financing and consider the third and final reading of the amended water and sewer ordinance. They will also consider the engineer’s proposal for engineering services for the repainting of the interior of the city’s water tower.
The Tuesday Council meeting will begin at noon in the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Center.
