Sheldon City Council & School Board Both Scheduled To Meet Wednesday

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council and the Sheldon Community Schools Board of Education will each meet Wednesday.

The City Council will meet at 4:30 Wednesday afternoon in Council Chambers of the Sheldon Community Services Center. Among the items on their agenda will be a presentation from McClure Engineering and RDG Consultants on the Downtown Street Scape Project. They’ll also consider a waiver of covenants for the Trilogy Village Replat of Lots 7 through 11, as well as considering a Student Applicant to the Sheldon Fire Company, consider an applicant to the Sheldon EMA, and a Liquor License Renewal for Roller Roulette.

The Council Meeting begins at 4:30 Wednesday afternoon in Council Chambers.

The Sheldon School Board has a laundry list of housekeeping items on their Wednesday agenda. They’ll elect a new Board President and Vice President, set the date, time and location of regular Board meetings, name depository banks for the District, and appoint Board members to the O’Brien and Sioux County Conference Boards. In addition, the Board will hear updates on District enrollment, the 2013-14 School Calendar, the East Elementary Building Project, and the Ball Fields/Rec Area.

The Sheldon Community School Board will meet at 6:00 Wednesday evening in the Sheldon High School Library.
