Sheldon Community Schools Make Contract Offer To Teacher’s Union
Date posted - January 23, 2013
Last week the Sheldon Education Association presented their opening contract proposal for the 2013-2014 school year. In the proposal, the union representing the Sheldon Community School District’s teachers asked for a salary and benefit increase of 5.79% for the next school year. In the counter-proposal, which was presented to the teacher’s union at a special School Board Meeting Wednesday, the District offered a salary and benefit package increase of 1.61%, as well as some changes to the wording of the proposed contract.
The two sides will continue meeting to try and come to an agreement on next year’s Teacher’s Contract.
