When the Sheldon City Council meets Wednesday, they will set the time and date for a public hearing on the ground water storage reservoir.
At an earlier council meeting, public works director Todd Uhl reported that this storage unit has developed leakage problems, and needs extensive work to prevent leakage and further deterioration. The council will also consider the proposed Covenants for the Trilogy Village residential development. They will also set the date and time for a public hearing to approve the plans and specs as well as awarding of the contract.
The downtown infrastructure project is also on the agenda, but this is only to consider a preliminary resolution for construction, a formality in the process which does not give approval to specifics of the project. The actual details of the work that is proposed for the downtown will be brought to the next council meeting for their discussion and possible action.
The final agenda item will possibly go into closed session to discuss the disputed Highway 18 project financial closeout. Wednesday’s Council meeting begins at 4:30 in the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Center.
