Sheldon Home Burglarized During Holiday Weekend

sheldon police pd car door logoSheldon, Iowa — A home on Washington Avenue in Sheldon was burglarized sometime over the Independence Day Weekend, with several items in the home damaged or destroyed, and others reported stolen.

According to the Sheldon Police Department, someone forcibly entered a residence in the 400 block of Washington Avenue, sometime between 9:00 am July 3rd and 2:30 pm July 7th.

The report lists a car stereo amp, and a Sony cell phone charger as stolen from the residence, as well as the damage or destruction of a 48-inch Sony TV, a computer monitor, and a walk-in garage door.  Total value of the damaged and stolen items total nearly $1300, according to authorities.

The investigation into this burglary is ongoing.
