Sheldon Man’s Pickup, Boyden Man’s Minivan Damaged In Monday Accident

Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon man’s pickup and a Boyden man’s minivan were damaged in an accident on Monday (3/4) in Sheldon.
The Sheldon Police Department reports that about 3:50 PM, 57-year-old Gerald Sievert of Sheldon was northbound on Fifth Avenue in a 2009 Dodge pickup. Sixty-nine-year-old Edwin Baartman of Boyden was eastbound on Seventh Street in a 2006 Chrysler minivan.
The vehicles collided in the uncontrolled intersection.
Sievert’s Dodge pickup received $2500 damage. Baartman’s Chrysler minivan received $5500 damage.
Baartman was cited for failure to yield to vehicle on right.
There were no injuries reported.
