Sheldon Outdoor Aquatic Center Needs Lifeguards

sheldon aquatic centerSheldon, Iowa — At last week’s Sheldon City Council meeting, Sheldon Rec Director, Jake Kerr, gave the Council a report on the upcoming season of the Sheldon Outdoor Aquatic Center.  Much of that discussion was on the pool’s need for lifeguards each summer, and how Kerr is going about the recruiting process.

Kerr tells KIWA that the aquatic center always needs certified lifeguards, and now he is able to teach a lifeguard certification course, which will make it easier for Sheldon kids to become certified lifeguards.

We asked Kerr how many lifeguards the Sheldon Aquatic Center needs on a daily basis.

Kerr says that anyone who has an interest in becoming a lifeguard can get information in a couple of different ways.
