Sheldon Police Arrest Sheldon Man On Sex Abuse Charges

A Sheldon man faces several felony counts of sex abuse after he was arrested recently. The Sheldon Police arrested 23-year-old Tony Holtrop of Sheldon and charged him with five felony counts of Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree. The report did not contain the date or circumstances of the arrest, or Holtrop’s current status.

Officers say they took a report of $30 in cash being stolen from a money box in a Sheldon woman’s garage as she was having a garage sale. The incident is believed to have happened on Friday (9-20-13) in the 1 PM hour.

Officers also took a report of $130 in cash stolen from a wallet while it was lying on a clothes basket at Bubbles Laundromat. It is also believed to have happened on Friday (9-20-13) in the 1 PM hour.

The police also say they took the report of a stolen wireless device at Cellular Only Verizon Wireless on Sheldon’s east side. Stolen was a Galaxy Note II, valued at $800. It is believed to have happened on Saturday (9-21-13).

Sheldon Officers also arrested 40-year-old John Cole on Sunday (9/22/13) on an RTF Hold Order. He was taken into custody and transported to jail in Primghar.
