Sheldon Police Cover Shoplifting, Make Arrest, Handle Fight At Sheldon High

Sheldon, Iowa — In the latest from the Sheldon Police Department:

Someone at Dollar General reported a shoplifter on Tuesday (10/16). The police were able to apprehend 31-year-old Daniel Van Horsen of Sheldon the next day, and charged him with Fifth Degree Theft.

A Sioux Center man was arrested for driving when he wasn’t supposed to on Wednesday (10/17). The Police report 50-year-old Randy Nuzum was arrested on a charge of Driving While Revoked for OWI.

Both Van Horsen and Nuzum were transported to jail in Primghar.

On Thursday (10/18), someone at Sheldon High School reported a disturbance in the commons. The police were called and a 17-year-old boy was cited into juvenile court on a charge of simple assault.
