Sheldon Police Make Arrest, Take Reports Of Identity Theft

The police advise that they arrested 28-year-old Marshall Redd of Sheldon on Sunday (5/19). He was charged with Public Intoxication, a simple misdemeanor. He was taken into custody and transported to jail in Primghar.

The police took a report of a purchase made online with a stolen card or number that belonged to a Sheldon resident on May 15th. Someone purchased an X Box 360 Live, valued at $222.27 on

Sheldon officers also took a report of someone using a Sheldon resident’s card, number, or identification to purchase merchandise at two different Kohl’s stores, one in Cedar Falls, and one in Cedar Rapids. Value of the merchandise charged to the account was $280.86. The incidents happened between March 12th and May 5th, 2013.
