Sheldon Police Respond To Burglary Complaint, Parking Lot Accident

They took a report of a burglary from Glen’s Sport Center. They say the burglary happened between 3:27 and 3:47 AM on Sunday, June 2nd. The 2005 Honda TRX500FE ATV was valued at $3700. The police are investigating the incident.

Minivans driven by a Hospers man and a Sibley man were damaged in an accident on Tuesday (6/4) in Sheldon.

The Sheldon Police Department reports that about 12:20 PM, 75-year-old Leo Simon of Hospers was westbound in the Pizza Ranch parking lot in eastern Sheldon in a 2008 Dodge. Fifty-two-year-old Marty Carpenter of Sibley was southbound in the lot in a 2005 Dodge.

The report only says the Simon minivan struck the driver’s side of the Carpenter minivan.

Simon’s Dodge received $1500 damage. Carpenter’s Dodge received $500 damage.

There were no injuries reported.

No charges were filed.
