Sheldon, IA — The Board of Education of the Sheldon Community Schools will meet in special session Wednesday evening at 6:00 for the primary purpose of considering the financing bids for the East Elementary Remodel/Construction project.
The bids are scheduled to be opened and reviewed at 10:00 AM Wednesday, by Superintendent Robin Spears, Board Secretary Bill Borchers, and the District’s Financial Advisor. They will then be presented to the Board Wednesday evening for their consideration, with the Board expected to direct the sale of the bonds to finance the project.
The Board is also scheduled to approve a contract with Public Financial Services, Inc. as Dissemination Agent for Purposes of Compliance with the Securities and Exchange Commission, approve the Moody’s Investment Service Contract, and consider a contract with Cannon Moss Brygger & Associates for architectural services on the Elementary School Project.
They’re also expected to approve Contracted Service for Regular Education Services between the Sheldon Community School District and the Sioux City Community School District.
The Board is also scheduled to adjourn into closed session to conduct the Superintendent’s Annual Evaluation.
That meeting begins at 6:00 Wednesday evening in the Sheldon High School Library.
