Sheldon School Board To Discuss East Elementary Election Results

Date posted - February 9, 2013

Sheldon High SchoolOne of the topics on the agenda for the regular monthly meeting of the Sheldon Community School Board will be a review of the election results from this past Tuesday’s East Elementary remodel/addition vote.  You may recall that the three measures each received more than 70% support from District voters.

The School Board will also consider several employment contracts for summer coaching positions, designate an Independent Auditor for fiscal year 2013, and consider a request by Unity Christian High School for entry into the Siouxland Athletic Conference.  Unity is currently a member of the War Eagle Conference, but have petitioned to move to the Siouxland.

The Board will also deal with a laundry list of routine items, before adjourning into Closed Session to conduct a strategy meeting on contract negotiations with the Sheldon Education Association, the union representing the District’s teachers.

The regular February meeting will take place Monday night at 7:00 in the Sheldon High School Library.
