Sheldon School Board to Elect Officers

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Community Schools Board of Education regular monthly meeting for October will be held today, Thursday, October 11th at 4:00 in the high school library.

During the meeting, the Board will conclude activities of the retiring Board, and then elect the President and Vice President.

A variety of student recognitions will be shared, and a presentation will be heard from the Middle School regarding the updated technology lab.

The Board is expected to approve four Open Enrollment Applications, eight Student Service Agreements, three employment contracts, one resignation, and three contract revisions.

In other action, the Board is also expected to approve the transportation Agreement with Unity Christian, and the 4+ Service Agreement with Iowa Lakes.

Each of the school Principals, and Superintendent Cory Myer will be updating the Board on activities in their buildings. The Board will also discuss numerous other items of business as listed on their agenda.

October’s regular monthly meeting will begin today at 4:00 in the Library at Sheldon High School.
