A representative from the State Auditor’s Office will be on hand at Wednesday’s meeting of the Sheldon Community Schools Board of Education to provide the Board with a verbal presentation on the independent audit conducted by the State Auditor’s Office last fall. These independent audits are conducted each year. This report had originally been scheduled for delivery at the February meeting, but hadn’t been completed by that time.
The Board is also scheduled to see a presentation on the District’s KeBecca classroom at Hope Haven in Rock Valley. This will include input from students and teachers, as well as parents. Later in the meeting, the Board will discuss a contract for next school year with KeBecca Education to continue the program.
The School Board will recognize the KIDS Committee for their efforts and leadership in passage of the February 5th referendum for the East Elementary Building/Renovation Project. They’ll also set the date for the Fiscal Year 2014 Budget Hearing and Certification, along with various other items of business, before adjourning into closed session to conduct a strategy meeting concerning contract negotiations with the Sheldon Education Association.
Wednesday’s meeting begins at 6:00 pm in the library of the Sheldon Community High School.
